KiKi de Montparnasse (2012)

The Kiki de Montparnasse project, developed during a summer intensive course at the London College of Fashion, bridges historical inspiration with contemporary design. Drawing from the essence of Kiki de Montparnasse—a muse symbolizing bohemian spirit and artistic rebellion—this work captures her vibrant personality and cultural significance through two conceptual footwear designs. Each design reflects her unapologetic individuality and the dynamic creativity of her era.

The second phase of the project focused on interpreting the UK-based multi-brand retailer Office to create a detailed customer profile and propose three ready-to-wear footwear designs. Through comprehensive industry research, including market analysis, street observations, and media studies, the designs align with the brand's identity and consumer expectations, combining innovation with market awareness.

This project exemplifies the seamless integration of historical narratives with commercially viable design, showcasing a thoughtful approach to research-driven creativity and practical application in the footwear industry.
